Biography
Guido LeBrón is a highly sought after and internationally acclaimed artist. He has appeared with leading opera companies across Europe, Latin America, and the United States in leading baritone roles in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, L’Elisir d’Amore, Lucia di Lammermoor, Don Pasquale, I Puritani, Faust, Le Nozze di Figaro, Rigoletto, La Traviata, Il Trovatore, Un Ballo in Maschera, Il Tabarro, Aida, La Bohème, Madama Butterfly, La Fanciulla del West, Pagliacci, Cavalleria Rusticana, Carmen and Tannhäuser. His engagements in the United States have included Washington National Opera, San Francisco Opera, Metropolitan Opera, Utah Opera, Opera Orchestra of New York, Atlanta Opera, Florentine Opera, Palm Beach Opera, Tulsa Opera, Opera Tampa and Connecticut Opera. Internationally he has sung at the Wexford Festival in Ireland, the Arriaga Theatre in Bilbao and Palma de Mallorca in Spain, L’Opera de Montreal, the National Theatres of Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Santo Domingo, Teatro de la Opera and Opera de Puerto Rico in San Juan, Santiago de Compostela, Spain and Mexico City.
He was recently heard in Il Trovatore at Atlanta Opera under the baton of Eduardo Muller, La Bohème at Opera de Puerto Rico with Steven Mercurio, Faust at Opera Tampa with Anton Coppola, the protagonist role of “Cristian de la Cruz” in the world premiere of Don Davis’ Rio de Sangre at Florentine Opera with Joe Resigno, La Traviata at Tri-Cities Opera as well as zarzuela concerts with the Symphony Orchestra of Puerto Rico under the baton of Maximiano Valdéz. His upcoming engagements include Tosca with Dicapo Opera Theatre, Rigoletto with Utah Opera, Fidelio with Fargo Opera, Tosca with Mississippi Opera and Santiago, Chile as well as the release on CD of his recordings of Don Davis’ Rio de Sangre, and the role of “The Governor” in the opera Cofresí by Rafael Hernandez. A former set and lighting designer from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Mr. LeBrón is a graduate of Fordham University, Binghamton University and Tri-Cities Opera’s Resident Artist Training Program.
