Matt Boehler: Sparafucile
With Rigoletto, Verdi succeeded in creating one of his most rewarding roles in a title character that is so contradictory and human. In the first opera production of St. Gallen’s 2012-13 season, Mr. Boehler makes his debut with the company as the sinister assassin, Sparafucile.
