Matt Morgan
Originally composed for the opening of the Kennedy Center in 1971, it is the largest and most theatrical of the great composer/conductor’s works. Mass is a simple name for a soaring work that fills the stage with choruses, a Broadway-sized cast, an orchestra and even a rock band.
