More than once in the past few weeks, I’ve talked to singers who are on the road and in desperate need of sheet music for one reason or another. Perhaps they are working for an opera company that has asked them to perform at an informal gathering of donors or sponsors. Maybe they are traveling for personal reasons and have the chance to sing an impromptu audition for the local symphony or opera company. Alternatively, they could be performing a recital and (after traveling to the concert venue) realize they have forgotten to pack a favorite encore selection to cap off their program.
